Corruption
A couple days ago while meditating at the neighborhood train-tracks, a biker asked me if I was alright. He asked me genuinely and from the bottom of his heart. Usually there are about 30-35 people who pass by while I meditate there. This biker was the only one who acknowledged my presence that day. If only the world was filled with more people like this man who genuinely cared for the well-being of a stranger. Thats the world I want to live in. A world where we are embodied as one and our only goal is to promote the well being of others. When that finally happens, Wake me up. Because until then I am just existing in reality and going through the motions.
On second thought; why would any of that matter?
We live in a society that is corrupt. We are led by a government that has a little too much power. And we are brainwashed by the media that constantly spits out lies. There is no longer any chivalry, and there is no longer any respect. We would rather eat steroid injected processed hamburgers than a home cooked meal all for the sake of convenience. We sleep in till noon and we always complain about how there's never enough time. All of that, and the fact that we are still on the pursuit of happiness.
Now tell me, why would any of that matter?
I am not proposing that we start over from scratch and I am not saying that we should put on a mask. We just need to learn how to enjoy the simpler things in life. Rather than taking some swigs out of a flask. And while we are at it, we should open doors for each other too. I know it's not a big change, but hopefully it will be the start of something new.

Early Riser?
Guide to Waking up
Early in the Morning
I have searched all over the internet and collected a few of the best tips for waking up early for your enjoyment. Turns out, waking up early isn't such a bad thing after all. In fact, it has been proven to be very beneficial to your health and also will help you squeeze a few extra hours out of your busy day.
Dont Hit Snooze
·
Know your Priorities
Stop watching TV, playing computer games or browsing the interwebs at least 2 hours before you go to sleep. Use this time to do some relaxing stuff- go for a walk outside (take the dog with you), read a book, plan your next day, pretty much anything that will help you unwind and relax. Open windows to refresh the air in your room before going to sleep- fresh air improves the quality of your sleep.
Know your Priorities
·
Drink a glass of water
A cool glass of water on an empty stomach actually has a lot of health benefits as well as helping to wake you up. The water will kick start your metabolism and will cause you to wake up faster and feel more alert.
Exercise
When you are groggy in the morning, a nice run in the fresh air can wake you up fast. However, the interesting thing is that when you exercise in the morning you will actually have more energy the NEXT day. The more you exercise the more energy you will have as you become fitter and healthier.
Breathe Deeply
The first thing you should do in the morning is take in some deep breaths and concentrate on waking up. Imagine breathing in a bright white light that makes your body feel happy and light.
Get up straight away
One of the best things you can do to wake up early and feel alert and fresh is to get up straight away. As soon as your alarm goes off you should get up without snoozing it over and over again.
Smile
Finally, the first thing you should do when you hear your alarm clock buzz is.... Smile! It's a new day, new adventures, new experiences, new friends, new opportunities! This all is well worth waking up earlier, isn't it?
